Brother Aziz suffers a disability in his left leg that has caused a deformaty which affects his daily life. Aziz cant read or write and is reduced to selling tissues at traffic lights at busy intersections.
Aziz has a wife and 2 young kids which he is responsible for as there is no such things as ‘benefits’ in Morocco.
We would like to get £200 a month to cover his rent and help provide some ease with food and expenses.
To Help Aziz
To help Aziz and bring ease as he has refused to result to sit down and do nothing, we would like to purchase a moped for him which costs about £ 800
This would ease his affairs when traveling to and from work and any other place he needs with his wife and kids.
Aziz cant ride a normal motorbike as he cant change gears with his feet and needs a scooter/ moped style one which is slightly more expensive.
Masjid Al Karam
This Masjid is 18 years old but for the past 8 years has been used for teaching the Quran to students who are welcome to reside in the Masjid.
In total there is currently 8 to 10 resident students memorising the Quran and 40 students who attend lessons in the day time. Students are between the ages of 14 and 25 years old and will continue with their studies in the Masjid for 4 to 5 years.
(Sisters Prayer Hall)
The first floor of the Masjid will be used as a sisters prayer hall which will be opened for the salah and other Islamic gatherings for sisters like memorising the Quran or learning to read.
Second floor ( if we can get it the funds to build ) it will be used as a place for the students accommodation.
In Morocco a community Masjid is literally just that, it is used by the community when needed for Islamic events, meetings, housing men who cant find a place to stay, gathering funds for the poor, helping deal with local complaints and disputes between neighbours etc.
The Imam is usually working under his community and is supported by them ( unless he and his Masjid are funded by the Government which in this case Masjid Dour Al Karam isn’t ) This means that the masjid serves the purpose to cater to the needs of the community in an Islamic sense and a general aid.
To support the growth and expansion of this Masjid is a personal contribution to support the memorisng of the Quran and being a means to increase the number of people who will inshaAllah complete the memorisation of the Quran and go forth to teach it. This will be not only a benefit to the local community but also to yourself for all those who pray and memorise the Quran in Douar Al Karam you will receive rewards from Allah in the akhirah Bithnillah.
Aunty Raqiya is a 60 year old widow diagnosed with renal impairment. She has been having dialysis for the past 6 months
Aunty Raqiya is meant to undergo 3 sessions a week as prescribed by her Dr yet she cant afford to cover those costs plus her medicine so she receives only 1 session a week.
Being that the Aunty is reaching old age her treatment is vital towards her health as her body is weak. This is an urgent case and ask everyone to share and make Dua for Allah to cure our Aunty
1 sessions costs 600 Moroccan Dirham
We need to raise at least 2400 Moroccan Dirham a month to cover these costs InshaAllah.
700 Dirham for blood transfusion once every 2 months
Not only is Aunty Raqiya a widow, she is an elderly widow who has now faced illness in her old age and as Muslims those of us who come across her situation need to fear Allah and do all we can to help her even just by sharing her situation with others and making dua.
For all those who can donate, share or make dua your reward is with Allah who is the Best of those who Reward
“If a young man honors an elderly on account of his age, Allah appoints someone to honor him in his old age.”
“O son of Adam! It is better for you if you spend your surplus (wealth), but if you withhold it, it is evil for you. There is (however) no reproach for you (if you withhold the essentials) for a living. And begin (charity) with your dependents; and the upper hand is better than the lower hand.”
Her husband passed away in 2013 leaving her to raise her 3 children along without any financial security.
She currently lives in an mud/ brick home that has been sectioned off to give her kids 1 room which is about 2x3m. This room they use as a bedroom and living room for the 4 of them.
Raqiyah is paid a set amount every month as long as her kids stay in school. Her oldest 2 children are struggling at school as she is unable to help them with their work because she cant read and write.
Recently Raqiyahs situation took a turn for the worst as the house she lived in isn’t owned by herself and the government are moving everyone out who lives there providing a plot of land to live elsewhere.
The day before we visited Raqiyah they had come telling her to get out of her home (this is eviction the Moroccan way)
At any time they can come and remove Raqiyah from her home and leave her totally homeless with 3 children.
We need to raise the funds to provide Raqiyah a safe home to live with her children. Renting a home can be very difficult even without considering the financial burden for a widow who has no work and 3 kids, the fact is that many landlords will prefer to rent to a husband and wife with only 1 or 2 kids.
If we can secure a year of rent in advance for the sister plus some extra money for her monthly costs inshaAllah to help her out as the money she receives each month only covers about half the months worth of food expenses and doesn’t suffice her or her children’s living costs especially not rent and bills.
Raqiyahs children are classified as orphans in Islam and the reward of being kind or looking after an orphan has huge reward.
Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate.
